- In a traditional mint julep glass or a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar.
- Pour a splash of water into the glass and gently muddle the mint leaves with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release the mint oils.
- Fill the glass generously with crushed ice.
- Pour the bourbon over the ice, allowing it to chill and mix with the mint and sugar.
- Stir gently to combine, then garnish with a sprig of mint.
- Serve with a straw and enjoy your Mint Julep!
