  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the whole chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the chicken all over with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. If desired, stuff the cavity with fresh herbs for added flavor.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken breast side up in a roasting pan.
  2. Roast for approximately 1.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer.
  3. Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
