Ingredients
  

For the marinade
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce Enhances the umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Fresh lime juice is recommended.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Add additional cloves for more garlic flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger adds great flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For stir-frying.
For the stir-fry
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced Use any color bell pepper.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets Fresh or frozen broccoli can be used.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil and cilantro for garnish Add for flavor before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and ginger. Mix well.
  2. Add sliced chicken to the marinade, ensuring it's coated. Let marinate for about 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and cilantro.

Notes

For extra heat, add sliced red chilies or a dash of chili powder to the marinade. You can substitute chicken with shrimp, beef, or tofu.
