  • 2 leaves bay leaves To infuse flavor during cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch or flour For thickening the gravy.

Preparation
  1. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large pot or dutch oven, heat oil over medium heat and sear the beef pieces until browned on all sides.
  3. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, add the sliced onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly.
Cooking
  1. Return the beef to the pot along with the onions and garlic. Pour in the broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.
  3. If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix the cornstarch or flour with a little water to create a slurry and stir it into the pot.
  4. Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper as needed.
Serving
  1. Serve the tender beef tips over creamy mashed potatoes, rice, or your choice of side.
