Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
For the Steak Bites
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  2. Add the bite-sized sirloin steak pieces to the bowl, ensuring each piece is well-coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and let the steak marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated steak bites, ensuring that they are spread out and not overcrowded in the pan. Cook the steak bites for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned on the outside and cooked through.
  3. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet with the cooked steak bites. Allow it to simmer for about 2-3 minutes, stirring regularly until it thickens into a glaze.
  4. Serve the steak bites warm, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

For variations, consider using different cuts of beef like ribeye or flank, and adding red pepper flakes for heat. Marinating overnight enhances flavor.
