Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) to ensure a sizzling roast.
  2. Place the chicken breast-side down on a cutting board.
  3. Using kitchen shears, cut along both sides of the backbone and remove it completely.
  4. Flip the chicken over and press down on the breastbone until you hear a crack, ensuring it's flat.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and fresh lemon juice.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet, skin-side up.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for about 10 minutes before carving.

Notes

Consider marinating your chicken for a couple of hours or overnight for enhanced flavor. You can also grill or smoke the chicken for a different taste.
