Preparation
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken.
- Cut the softened cream cheese into cubes and scatter them on top of the chicken and ranch mixture.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for about 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover, and allow it to melt for about 10 minutes.
Garnishing and Serving
- If using, top the dish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Try different types of cheese or add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variation. For a low-carb option, serve over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles.
