Searing
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Slow Cooking
- Transfer the seared chicken breasts into the slow cooker.
- Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle any additional seasonings over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and incredibly tender.
Serving
- Serve the chicken whole or shredded, accompanying with rice, salads, or in wraps.
Notes
For variations, add vegetables for a one-pot meal, or different herbs/spices for different flavor profiles. Chicken can also be cooked on high for 2-3 hours if short on time.
