Ingredients

Chicken and Seasoning
  • 8 pieces bone in chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Equipment

  • Oven Safe Skillet or Baking Dish

Method

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
    3. Season both sides evenly with salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet or baking dish over medium heat.
    5. Place chicken thighs skin side down and cook undisturbed for 5–7 minutes until browned.
    6. Turn the thighs over and transfer the skillet or dish to the oven.
    7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
    8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Allowing the chicken to brown before baking builds flavor. Resting the thighs after cooking helps redistribute juices and improves tenderness.
