Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the Instant Pot, laying the chicken pieces flat at the bottom.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth to ensure that the chicken stays moist while cooking.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the chicken.
  4. Close the lid, ensuring that it locks in place, and set the valve to sealing.
Cooking
  1. Set your Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  2. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes, then use the quick-release method for any remaining pressure.
Shredding
  1. Remove the chicken from the pot and use two forks to shred it.
  2. Mix the shredded chicken back into the juices in the pot.

Notes

Consider adding spices like cumin, paprika, or chili powder for extra flavor. Save the cooking liquid to use in soups, stews, or sauces. This method works for turkey or pork as well—just adjust the cooking time. For frozen chicken, increase the cooking time to 15-18 minutes.
