  • 1 cup beef broth Homemade broth adds extra flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the beef roast generously with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  2. Place the chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Layer the carrots and potatoes on top of the onions.
  4. Position the seasoned beef roast over the vegetables.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then pour it over the roast.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Once cooked, carefully remove the roast and vegetables from the pot, allowing the beef to rest for a few minutes.
  3. Slice the beef against the grain for maximum tenderness.
