Salad Ingredients
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce Washed and chopped
  • 1 medium Shallot Thinly sliced
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese Grated or shaved
Dressing
  • 2 tablespoons fresh Lemon juice From about 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly to remove any dirt or grit. Pat it dry or use a salad spinner.
  2. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and add to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Thinly slice the shallot and add it to the bowl with the lettuce.
  4. Grate or shave the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the salad mixture.
Dressing
  1. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Serving
  1. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat the ingredients evenly.
  2. Serve immediately for the freshest taste, ideally with a sprinkle of extra Parmesan on top.

Notes

For extra crunch and nutritional benefits, consider adding nuts or seeds. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, ideally storing dressing separately until ready to serve.
