Preparation
  1. Begin by preparing the fresh fruits; wash them thoroughly and slice any larger fruits like peaches.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced fruits with a little sugar and a splash of vanilla extract, letting them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, crush the shortbread cookies or graham crackers until they reach a coarse consistency.
Assembly
  1. In serving glasses or bowls, layer the marinated fruits first.
  2. Add a generous layer of whipped cream, followed by a layer of the crushed cookies.
  3. Repeat the layering process until you reach the top of your serving container, finishing off with a dollop of whipped cream on the very top.
Chilling
  1. Chill the assembled dessert in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream. You can also serve in mason jars for a cute and transportable option.
