Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1 pound chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and gochujang. Stir well until the sugar dissolves and all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the bowl and ensure they are completely coated in the marinade. Cover and let this marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the marinated chicken thighs, spacing them apart for even cooking.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  4. Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish before serving.

Notes

You can modify the spice levels or incorporate different vegetables into the marinade. Serve over rice or with spicy kimchi for an enhanced experience.
