- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes, draining any excess fat.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger to the beef. Stir well and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Steam the broccoli until bright green and tender, about 3 to 4 minutes. Cook the julienned carrots simultaneously.
Serving
- Place a generous portion of hot cooked rice in a bowl. Scoop the beef mixture over the rice and top with steamed broccoli and carrots.
- Garnish with finely chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Try different proteins like ground turkey, chicken, or tofu for a vegetarian option. Add heat with chili sauce or red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
