Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust, spreading evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Allow the pie to cool before serving.
