Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Boneless, skinless
  • 1 cup chicken broth Essential for the pressure cooking process
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional for searing

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. If using, set the Instant Pot to 'Sauté' mode and add olive oil. Wait for the oil to heat, then sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  3. Add the chicken broth to the pot.
Cooking
  1. Close the lid tightly, set the valve to 'Sealing,' and cook on 'Manual' high pressure for 10 minutes.
  2. Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  3. Remove the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken before cooking. You can substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth or apple cider vinegar for a tangy twist. Adjust cooking times for frozen chicken.
