Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel to drain.
- Arrange the toasted bread slices in a single layer in a baking dish.
- Layer the sliced turkey on top of the bread followed by the slices of fresh tomato.
- Pour the Mornay sauce over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.
- Switch to the broiler and broil for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is golden.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with crispy bacon pieces and parsley.
Notes
You can experiment with various cheeses or add sautéed vegetables for a unique twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate.
