- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add ground beef, and brown for about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Layer sliced potatoes over the beef, season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the potato layer.
- Pour beef broth or water around the edges of the baking dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until the top is browned and the potatoes are tender.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Customize the casserole with extra vegetables or different proteins as per preference. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
