Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.

  1. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.

Notes

Consider adding bell peppers, corn, or zucchini for extra flavor and nutrients. For a slower cooking option, use a slow cooker and let it cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
