  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups pasta or rice (optional) Add for a heartier meal.
  • Cheese (optional) For topping before serving.

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it is no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the onion is translucent and softened.
  3. Stir in the can of diced tomatoes along with the beef broth. Combine everything well.
  4. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, stirring to incorporate the flavors.
  5. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. If you choose to add pasta or rice, fold in the cooked versions at this point, stirring to combine them with the meat mixture.
  7. If desired, top with cheese and let it melt for an extra layer of flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!
