- Drain any excess fat from the skillet to ensure a leaner dish.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat. Let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If desired, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top during the last few minutes of cooking, allowing it to melt into the dish.
