Preparation
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer the cooked ground beef to the crockpot.
- Add chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, chopped bell peppers, and corn (if using) into the crockpot.
- Stir all ingredients thoroughly to combine.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
Serving
- Serve hot over rice, in tortillas, or with bread.
Notes
For a richer flavor, allow the dish to cook longer. You can customize by adding seasonal vegetables or grains.
