Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 2-liter bottle Grapico soda (cold) Cold soda foams less and freezes faster.
  • 6–7 ounces sweetened condensed milk (about half a can) For best results, use half a can.
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 splash vanilla Optional for extra flavor.
  • 1 handful crushed cookies A fun texture addition.
  • 1 splash grape jelly For swirling.
  • 1 handful mini marshmallows Optional fun addition.

Method

Method 1: With an Ice Cream Maker
  1. Chill the Grapico in the fridge for a few hours.
  2. In the ice cream maker, pour half a can of condensed milk and slowly add the Grapico.
  3. Pack ice and salt around the canister if using a churn.
  4. Churn for 20-30 minutes until soft-serve consistency.
  5. Serve immediately or freeze for a couple of hours to firm up.
Method 2: No Ice Cream Maker
  1. In a large bowl, mix the condensed milk first, then pour in the Grapico slowly.
  2. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container.
  3. Stir once or twice during the first couple of hours if you remember.

Notes

Store ice cream in an airtight container to avoid icy crystals. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping if too hard. Homemade ice cream is best enjoyed shortly after making for the creamiest texture.
