  • 2 cups heavy cream Gives it that rich, creamy texture.
  • 1 cup whole milk Helps balance it out.
  • 1 cup sugar Sweetens everything up.
  • 1 can (12 oz) Grapico soda The star of the show, gives it the classic grape soda taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a little depth.
  • 1 pinch salt Brings out all the flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix the dairy and sugar. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the vanilla and salt. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add the Grapico. Slowly pour in the Grapico soda while gently stirring to combine.
  4. Churn. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Transfer to a container. Scoop the churned ice cream into an airtight container.
  6. Freeze. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to firm up.

Notes

For best results, chill your ingredients and cool the mixing bowl before starting. When freezing, press plastic wrap against the surface of the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.
