Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 liters Grapico soda chilled, helps reduce foam
  • 0.5 can sweetened condensed milk 6–7 ounces (use full can for richer ice cream)
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract adds warmth
  • 2 Tbsp grape jelly swirl for extra flavor
  • 2 Tbsp crushed cookies adds crunch
  • 0.25 cup mini marshmallows for texture

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Ice cream maker (optional)
  • Freezer-safe container
  • Loaf pan
  • Plastic wrap or wax paper

Method

  1. Step 1 – Chill the Grapico: Refrigerate the soda for a few hours. Cold soda foams less and freezes better.
  2. Step 2 – Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, pour condensed milk first, then slowly add Grapico while stirring gently to control fizz.
  3. Step 3 – Ice Cream Maker Method: Pour mixture into your ice cream maker. Churn 20–30 minutes until thick and creamy. Serve immediately or freeze for a firmer texture.
  4. Step 4 – No-Churn Method: Pour mixture into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Stir once or twice in the first 2 hours to reduce ice crystals. Freeze 4 hours or until scoopable.
  5. Step 5 – Serve: Let ice cream sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping. Serve in bowls or cones.

Notes

Store in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed on the surface to prevent ice crystals. Best enjoyed within 3–4 days. If too firm, let sit at room temperature before scooping.
