  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless for best results.
  • 1 cup buttermilk For tenderizing the chicken.
For the Coating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds flavor and color.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to personal preference.
  • Oil for frying Vegetable or canola oil is recommended.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by marinating the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least one hour.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper for the coating.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, ensuring there is enough oil to cover at least half of the chicken breasts.
  2. After marinating, remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring it is thoroughly coated.
  3. Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the hot oil. Fry for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
  4. Once cooked, place the chicken on paper towels to absorb excess oil and serve it hot.

Notes

To enhance your fried chicken, consider double dredging for extra crispiness, experimenting with different spice levels, or using an air fryer for a healthier option.
