  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 4 cups cooked rice

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, frozen mixed vegetables, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice until well mixed, ensuring every ingredient is evenly incorporated.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. If you desire a crunchy texture on top, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the mixture before baking.
  6. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the dish is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  7. Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

This easy chicken casserole can be made ahead of time. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers for future meals. Add spices or herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
