- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess fat once cooked.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (including juices) and drained kidney beans. Sprinkle the chili powder, along with salt and pepper, and mix well.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.
