Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk Marinate chicken for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Breading Mixture
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Vegetable oil for frying Use enough oil for even frying.
Sandwich Assembly
  • 4 pieces sandwich buns
  • to taste Lettuce
  • to taste Tomato slices
  • to taste Mayonnaise Generously spread on buns.

Method
 

Marinating Chicken
  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
Preparing Breading
  1. In a shallow dish, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Frying Chicken
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge in the flour mixture.
  3. Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
  4. Drain the cooked chicken on paper towels.
Assembling Sandwiches
  1. Spread mayonnaise on the sandwich buns, then layer with crispy chicken, lettuce, and tomato slices.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize toppings. Use air fryer for a healthier version or crushed cornflakes for crunch. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
