Ingredients

For the Salad
  • 3 medium medium apples, diced
  • 2 cups red grapes, halved
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts, toasted and chopped Toast the nuts before adding.
  • 3 tablespoons honey Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Helps prevent apples from browning.
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Toast the nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Let cool and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Wash and dice the apples into bite-sized chunks, leaving the skin on. Slice the grapes in half lengthwise. Toss the apples and grapes with lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt until well combined. If needed, warm honey slightly in the microwave for easier drizzling.
  4. Pour the cinnamon-honey dressing over the fruit mixture and add the toasted nuts. Gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately for crispy texture or chill in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours before serving. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and whole nuts if desired.

Notes

For a creamier version, stir in Greek yogurt. You can also add other seasonal fruits like blueberries or omit nuts for a nut-free version.
