- In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cheese, salsa, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder together until well combined.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them pliable.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto each tortilla and roll them up tightly.
Cooking
- Heat enough oil in a frying pan over medium heat to cover the bottom.
- Fry the taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
- Once done, drain the taquitos on paper towels.
Serving
- Serve warm with sour cream and guacamole on the side.
Notes
For a healthier version, brush the taquitos with oil and bake them at 425°F for about 15-20 minutes. You can customize fillings to include beans or veggies according to your taste.
