  • 4 pieces chicken thighs You can substitute with chicken breasts or a rotisserie chicken.
  • 1 piece onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika Use hot paprika for a spicier version.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream Can be substituted with Greek yogurt.
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced (optional) Add for additional flavor and nutrition.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation & Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Brown the chicken on both sides for about 5-7 minutes each. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until translucent.
  5. Stir in the paprika and cook for another minute.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and add the chicken broth. If using, add the sliced bell pepper.
  7. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for about 30-40 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  9. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For added texture and nutrition, feel free to include vegetables like mushrooms or carrots. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
