Ingredients
  

Dumpling Dough
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Water Adjust as needed for the right dough consistency.
Filling
  • 1 lb Minced chicken Lean chicken for a healthier option.
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (grated)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 medium Green chili (finely chopped) Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce For added flavor.

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water, kneading until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Prepare the Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the minced chicken with finely chopped onion, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, green chili, salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
  2. Ensure all ingredients are fully combined to enhance the flavor.
Assemble the Dumplings
  1. Roll the dough into small circles, aiming for uniform size.
  2. Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each dough circle.
  3. Gently fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges, making sure there are no gaps.
Cooking
  1. Prepare a steamer and steam the dumplings for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through and the dough becomes translucent.
Serving
  1. Serve the steamed dumplings hot, paired with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Consider adding different vegetables like finely carved carrots or bell peppers to the filling. You can also try pan-frying dumplings for a crispy texture.
