- Cook the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain them and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat, enough to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and stir-fry for about 30 seconds, allowing the garlic to become fragrant but not browned.
- Toss in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, add the shredded chicken to the skillet and mix well.
- Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring to coat all ingredients evenly.
- Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the pan and toss everything together, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
To make it gluten-free, swap chow mein noodles for rice noodles or gluten-free soy sauce. Customize with different proteins or add spice for a kick.
