Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cheese (your choice, such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pieces eggs

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken, milk, melted butter, and eggs. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can affect the texture.
  5. Gently fold in the cheese, allowing it to evenly distribute throughout the batter.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the chicken cake to cool slightly before slicing it into squares or wedges to serve.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or diced vegetables. For a gluten-free option, substitute flour with a gluten-free blend.
