  • 1 pound chicken sausage Can be store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 apples, diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.
  3. Slice the chicken sausage into rounds.
  4. Add the sliced chicken sausage to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in diced apples and thyme; cook until apples are tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
