Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound beef tips
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the beef tips and brown them on all sides until they are golden brown.
  2. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the flour, allowing it to cook for about a minute.
  4. Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Return the beef tips to the skillet, season with salt and pepper to taste, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Serve the beef and gravy hot over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Allowing the beef tips to simmer enhances flavor. For storage, cool completely and store in an airtight container.
