- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat to create a base for searing the meat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
- Introduce the beef tips to the skillet, searing them on all sides until they develop a nice brown crust.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, allowing the mixture to bubble slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as needed.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover and reduce the heat, letting it cook on low for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with a bit of water to make a slurry and stir this into the skillet during the final stages of cooking.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For a more tender result, consider using a slow cooker for 6-8 hours. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or in the freezer for up to three months. Reheat gently on the stove.
