  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening) Use if you prefer a thicker sauce.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Adds freshness and color.

Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute to release its flavor.
  4. Increase the heat to high, then add the beef pieces, searing them until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. If desired, mix the cornstarch with a little cold water to form a slurry. Stir it in and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

You can use chuck for a more economical option, add vegetables for nutrition, and use different herbs and spices for variety. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for three months.
