  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the pan, cooking it until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes).

  4. Add the mixed vegetables, and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and optional cornstarch, stirring well to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste and give it one final stir.
  7. Serve hot over rice or tossed with noodles.
